Christy is a seasoned healthcare professional with over three decades of diverse experience including clinical care, healthcare education, and management of multi-disciplinary teams. For the last seven years, she has specialized in psychiatric care, combining her extensive medical background with a client-centered approach to mental health treatment.
Prior to her work in psychiatry, Christy held key leadership roles as the Allied Health Director for a proprietary career college, where she educated and mentored hundreds of future healthcare professionals, and was the Clinic Operations Manager for a large multi-office orthopedic practice. She also worked for a private medical practice for 10 years, where she assisted in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Lab/Radiology.
Christy has expertise in crisis intervention, symptom monitoring, Clozaril treatment, ensuring REMS compliance, completing SSDI assessments and Expert Evaluations for Guardianship, and liaising with county court systems for probated clients to provide effective client monitoring and advocacy. She will coordinate with members of the SOS Wellness care team, Schools, Courts, Law Enforcement, Probation Officers, Child Protective Services, Hospitals, Pharmacies, other community agencies, and all available outside resources to provide direct clinical and psychosocial support to clients with diverse psychiatric needs to facilitate the best possible outcomes.
